It seems everyone's thinking thoughts of the divine today. Anantanand Rambachan, writing in the Trinidad Express, argues that we should leave God out of politics (I often wonder whether the pious politicians & their lackeys, asking God to come to the aid of their party, don't feel a certain frisson of blasphemy—"O heavenly father, grant that my greed triumph over the greed of my opponent").
